- modernization of infrastructure, improvement of the level of service and safety of personnel, drivers and passengers;
- increase in the range of services provided by road service facilities;
- integration of refueling and charging infrastructure;
- presentations of successful cases and business models, direct dialogue between equipment and service providers to existing businesses and potential investors.
Background and reasons for the creation of the exhibition
According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in January 2020, wholesale and retail trade in oil products and gas was carried out by 7064 filling stations (for comparison, in March 2019 – 6613). The largest networks are the gas stations of the Privat group (Avias, ANP and others), which have more than 1600 stations, WOG and OKKO, which have 400+ gas stations each. In parallel with the refueling market, the charging infrastructure market is growing rapidly. At the end of 2019, the number of standard and high capacity charging stations was 2719 (at the end of 2018 there were 1773). As in the filling market, the largest network shows a significant lead over rivals in terms of the number of facilities: AutoEnterprise – 1113 stations, IONITY – 387, ElectroUA – 380.
In parallel with the growth in the number of road service facilities, their business model and income structure are changing. Thus, the share of non-fuel retail in the income of filling stations is constantly growing: now, according to experts, it is about 25%. Additional services, such as car washes and tire shops, also gravitate towards the refueling and charging infrastructure due to the high traffic of paying customers.
The Fuel & Charge exhibition is designed to become a business platform that will bring together suppliers and players in the road service market in order to ensure effective interaction and stable growth.
